A thought before the start of the KF final for Maxime Potty, who crashed on Saturday and will be forced to wait long weeks away from his kart to recover from his broken wrist.
The destination of the European title is uncertain, although Ilott is flying against the favourite Nielsen, plus Joyner and Lando Norris will have an influence.
Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) attacked Callum Ilott immediately (Zanardi / Parilla) on the first lap and Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / TM) took the opportunity to take 2nd position briefly. Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Parilla) was fourth ahead of Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) and Mark Litchfield (Kosmic / TM). Ilott took over control on lap 3, while the situation was changing fast behind Hiltbrand with Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) 5th ahead of Litchfield, Gabriel Aubry (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 7th ahead of Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla). Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) was stuck in the pack in 11th position. Felice Tiene was not racing, Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) had retired. Aubry was still seventh and held off Joyner. Lando Norris, the fastest on the track, was back in the top 10, Julien Darras (ART GP / TM) was 14th. Lap 14: Attack on Litchfield by Lorandi to gain 4th place. Then the gaps widened, especially for Hiltbrand who would soon be overtaken by Litchfield and Lorandi. Joyner then overtook Aubry and the threat from Norris was behind. Lando took 7th with two laps to go ahead of Aubry and Joyner. Lorandi took 3rd place ahead of Hiltbrand and Litchfield. He took 4th on the line ahead of Hiltbrand, Norris 6th, Besancenez 7th, Aubry 8th, Joyner 9th and Kari 10th.
